This SIG Sauer MPX 16-inch 9×19mm carbine stands out with a suite of Taran Tactical Innovations upgrades, a satin-bronze PVD-coated bolt carrier by STS Firearms, and ambidextrous controls. It features a long free-float aluminum M-LOK handguard with a short 12 o'clock Picatinny rail section near the muzzle (not continuous with the receiver rail), a BCM GUNFIGHTER Mod 1 SOPMOD stock mounted via a TTI stock adapter and BCM carbine receiver extension, and two 46-round MPX-pattern magazines with TTI base pads. The lower receiver carries the Taran Tactical logo engraving and SIG factory markings.
Built on the MPX short-stroke gas piston system with a closed rotating bolt, this carbine is tuned for smooth cycling in 9mm. The threaded 16-inch barrel wears a multi-port compensator/brake, and the ambidextrous extended-latch charging handle complements the ambidextrous safety selector for efficient operation from either shoulder.

The Taran Tactical logo engraving on the lower, TTI MPX flared magwell, and TTI stock adapter define this build and reinforce its custom pedigree. TTI branding also appears on the extended magazine base pads. Factory receiver markings include "SIG SAUER INC, NEWINGTON NH USA" and "SIG MPX MULTI-CAL."
Furniture is purpose-built: a BCM GUNFIGHTER Mod 1 SOPMOD compartment stock installed via a BCM carbine buffer tube provides a wide cheek weld and onboard storage. Length of pull is listed at approximately 13 inches to 15.5 inches. A Hogue OverMolded rubber beavertail grip with finger grooves adds a secure, cushioned hold.
The 16-inch 9mm barrel is threaded and fitted with a multi-port compensator/brake. A long, free-float aluminum M-LOK handguard provides ample space for mounting accessories; a short 12 o'clock Picatinny rail section near the muzzle is present, and there is a gap between it and the receiver’s top rail.
Operation is via SIG's short-stroke gas piston system with a closed rotating bolt. Ambidextrous controls include the safety selector and an extended-latch charging handle. The carbine ships with two 46-round MPX-pattern magazines, yielding a 46+1 capacity.
