This Springfield Armory M1A SOCOM 16 is the compact, .308 Win variant of the M14-pattern rifle, built with a 16.25 in carbon-steel barrel and a large multi-port muzzle brake. It features GI-style adjustable aperture sights, a forward barrel-mounted Picatinny scout rail, and a durable black composite stock. This example comes with four magazines and is in very good overall condition with an excellent, mirror-bright bore.

Built on the M14 platform, this M1A SOCOM 16 uses a semi-automatic, gas-operated system with a rotating bolt and a two-stage trigger. The steel receiver is marked on the heel with "US RIFLE M1A SPRINGFIELD ARMORY," and the left-side barrel/handguard area is marked "SOCOM 16."
The 16.25 in carbon-steel barrel uses 6-groove rifling with a 1:11 RH twist. A large cylindrical multi-port muzzle brake is integrated with the front sight and gas lock for the SOCOM configuration.
Iron sights are GI-style: a wing-protected front blade on the gas lock/muzzle-brake assembly and an adjustable rear aperture with protective ears. A forward barrel-mounted Picatinny scout rail is installed.
The black composite stock is fixed with molded checkering for grip and includes a rear sling swivel and an additional left-side front sling loop. Length of pull is 13.0 in.
Overall length is 37.25 in, weight is approximately 8.8 lb, and capacity is 20+1. The bolt is marked "7790186-SA F00303." Made in the USA.
