Built as a rimfire from the ground up, the TAC R1 22 C mirrors AR-15 ergonomics while using a simple blowback action for .22 LR. Controls are AR-familiar, including a manual safety with SAFE/FIRE markings and a standard AR-type charging handle. The receivers are aluminum, and the rifle incorporates a dust cover and shell deflector.
The 16.1-inch barrel is threaded 1/2-28 UNEF and fitted with a birdcage flash hider. The upper receiver features a Picatinny rail. Up front is a 13-inch free-float aluminum M-LOK handguard whose top is slick, with a short bolt-on Picatinny section near the muzzle for mounting sights or accessories. QD sling interfaces are present on the handguard and buttstock (per factory literature).
Sighting is handled by included flip-up iron sights.
Markings include German proof marks (CIP "N") along with importer information from Hammerli Arms, Fort Smith, AR, and "Made in Germany by Umarex." The serial number is also stamped on the bolt per the model’s configuration.
