The PPQ M2 configuration delivers the reversible push-button magazine release many shooters prefer, along with .40 S&W chambering and an 11+1 capacity. Walther's pre-cocked Quick Defense trigger provides short travel and a crisp, short reset for fast follow-up shots.
Its carbon steel 4.2-inch barrel includes a loaded-chamber viewport, and the slide wears a durable black Tenifer finish with front and rear cocking serrations. The black polymer frame uses interchangeable backstraps to fine-tune grip fit and incorporates an accessory rail for lights or lasers.
Sight setup is straightforward and practical: a pinned white-dot front sight with interchangeable heights and a low-profile, drift-adjustable rear in a dovetail. The 6.22-inch sight radius supports precise alignment, and the six-groove, 1:16-twist rifling is well-suited to common .40 S&W loads.
Made in Germany and imported by Walther Arms in Fort Smith, Arkansas, this pistol carries the Ulm proof (antler) and eagle over N marks, along with the DE BD (2013) date code and factory rollmarks (CARL WALTHER ULM/DO., WALTHER ARMS FORT SMITH, AR, MADE IN GERMANY). The PPQ line was later succeeded by the Walther PDP in 2021, placing this M2 within a well-regarded lineage of duty-ready pistols.
