The Model 111 Express is a push-feed action with a plunger ejector and small-claw extractor, set up for reliable cycling of .338 Win. Mag. cartridges. It uses an internal blind magazine with a 3+1 capacity and a non-AccuTrigger. The tang safety includes a red fire dot for quick visual status.
The 20-inch barrel is fitted with a muzzle brake and porting to help manage recoil and muzzle movement. It retains the Savage barrel nut system and comes with open sights: a hoodless ramped front blade and a ramped, barrel-mounted open rear sight.
The black synthetic stock has a straight comb and molded checkering for grip, along with front and rear sling studs. Length of pull measures 13.5 inches, and the barreled action has a silver/gray finish, with small parts such as the bolt sleeve and sights in black.
