Remington's Model Six is the deluxe iteration of the company’s centerfire pump rifle, produced from 1981 to 1987. This .30-06 example features a 22 in barrel, blued steel barrel and components with an anodized aluminum-alloy receiver, and upgraded walnut furniture that sets it apart. It includes a Leupold scope base with rings already installed and retains factory iron sights. The A4 serial prefix aligns with the dedicated Model Six block, confirming placement in the correct production era.

    • 2x 4-round steel detachable box magazines (one body stamped "30-06"; the other stamped ".280 REM, .25-06 REM, .30-06 SPRG, .270 WIN, .35 WHELEN")

    • Leupold scope base with rings (installed)

The Model Six represents Remington’s upgraded pump-action centerfire platform, distinguished from the 7600 by its deluxe Monte Carlo walnut stock and refined detailing. Production ran from 1981 to 1987, and this rifle’s A4 prefix corresponds with the Model Six serial block for that era. It is chambered in .30-06 with a detachable box magazine and an approximate 4+1 capacity.

The rifle wears blued steel on the barrel and other steel components, with a hard-coat anodized aluminum-alloy receiver, and a 22 in barrel. Factory iron sights consist of a ramped front sight and an adjustable barrel-mounted rear sight, providing a clear sight picture out of the box. A Leupold scope base with rings is already installed for those who prefer a magnified optic.

Deluxe walnut furniture sets this model apart: a Monte Carlo stock with cheekpiece, crisp checkering with angular borders, white-line spacers, and sling swivel studs. The fore-end is checkered walnut with a contrasting nose cap, and the length of pull measures 13.0 in.

Under the hood, the Model Six incorporates several mechanical updates over the Model 760, including a simplified four-lug bolt, a hardened steel receiver insert, heavier action bars, a redesigned magazine with an enlarged release, and a strengthened scope-mount screw pattern. These changes reflect Remington’s refinement of the pump-action system during the 1980s.

This is the deluxe Model Six pump rifle and should not be confused with Remington’s earlier single-shot “Model 6.” Made in the United States, it combines proven .30-06 chambering with practical field features and upgraded fit and finish.
