The A2 Government is built on a non-railed, forged-steel frame with a bead-blasted blue finish that matches the slide. Its 5" stainless match barrel uses a Browning tilting-barrel bushing system and is paired with a checkered recoil plug for a traditional, duty-grade setup.
Sight regulation is handled by fixed 3-dot sights with both the front and the low-profile rear dovetailed into the slide. The slide also carries rear cocking serrations and a lowered, flared ejection port to aid reliable extraction and ejection.
Controls and ergonomics follow proven 1911 patterns: single-action, recoil-operated system; solid short trigger; spur hammer; manual thumb safety and grip safety. The front strap is smooth, the mainspring housing is arched and vertically grooved, and the magazine well is lightly beveled. Double-diamond checkered walnut stocks complete the classic grip profile.
Markings and provenance include a frame rollmark "DAN WESSON FIREARMS, NORWICH, NY U.S.A." and manufacturer part number 01946. Capacity is 7+1 with the included magazines. The case label shows a printed timestamp of 02/07/2019. Made in the USA.
