The PT 92 AFS configuration delivers a stainless-steel slide and aluminum-alloy frame with an open-top, rear-serrated slide and a 5-inch barrel. It is a full-size 9mm with a 15+1 capacity, DA/SA, hammer-fired action, and a left-side, push-button magazine release.
The sighting system uses a front ramp with an orange light-pipe element paired to an adjustable rear sight with two green light-pipe elements, providing a clear, high-visibility sight picture.
Controls and grip treatment include an ambidextrous, frame-mounted manual safety, black checkered polymer grip panels with molded-in Taurus logos, and vertical serrations on the frontstrap and backstrap for a secure hold.
The frame features a non-railed dustcover and an integral lanyard loop at the heel. The included 15-round magazine has witness holes marked 5/10/15.
Markings include "FORJAS TAURUS S.A. MADE IN BRAZIL" and "TAURUS MIAMI, FL INT. MFG., INC.," noting Brazilian manufacture and import by Taurus International, Miami, FL.
