The heavy, octagonal, browned barrel measures 31 in and carries an under-rib with two thimbles, supporting the bright steel ramrod. The muzzle shows a bright ring at the crown, and the barrel is roll-marked "WAADTLANDER" for clear model identification.
The percussion sidelock action features a color case-hardened lockplate and external hammer, paired with double-set triggers housed in a Schuetzen-style multi-loop finger-rest trigger guard. This setup complements deliberate target shooting and aligns with the rifle's match-focused design.
Precision target sights are fitted from the factory: a tang-mounted micrometer diopter rear sight with disc eyepiece and a hooded globe front sight. Together, these target sights provide fine, repeatable adjustments and a clean sight picture suited to black powder match work.
The hardwood stock includes a cheek shelf, a Swiss two-prong buttplate, and the included adjustable Schuetzen-style palm rest for stable offhand support. A wood stabilizer is incorporated to support consistent stock performance alongside these competition-oriented features.
Proofed in Italy with CIP PN and Pedersoli dp marks in 2022, this recent-release reproduction is intended for black powder only. The rifle's approximate weight is 14.37 lb (reference spec), contributing to steadiness over the sights and mild perceived recoil with appropriate .45 loads.
