The Stainless Rosewood configuration combines a satin silver stainless slide and barrel with a satin silver aluminum-alloy frame and double-diamond checkered rosewood grips with laser-engraved Kimber logo (no medallion inlays). The compact Micro profile and 3.15 inch barrel make for an easily carried 9mm with a 7+1 capacity using the included magazines.
Controls follow the Micro-1911 pattern with single-action, recoil-operated function. It has a single-sided left thumb safety and no grip safety. Additional safety features include a sear disconnect, firing-pin block, and a hammer safety notch. The Micro-1911 manual of arms allows the slide to be racked with the safety engaged.
Sighting is straightforward and durable with fixed, low-profile 3-dot white sights that are dovetailed front and rear. The slide carries rear-only diagonal cocking serrations, and the hammer is a rowel-style design. The magazine release is a standard, left-side, checkered button for intuitive operation.
