The rifle uses a 16-inch steel M4-profile barrel with an M203 step and a threaded muzzle. A 1:7 twist rate supports stabilization of common 5.56 NATO projectile weights. The carbine-length gas system and direct-impingement action deliver the familiar handling and function associated with the M4-style configuration.
The upper is a flat-top configuration and includes a forward assist and ejection port cover. Sights are iron: an A2 front sight base with bayonet lug up front and a detachable carry handle with A2 rear sight at the rear.
Furniture includes a 6-position collapsible polymer stock, A2 pistol grip, and carbine-length ribbed polymer handguards. Receivers are aluminum alloy with a uniform matte black finish.
