The Romulus uses a double-stack 1911 (1911DS) architecture in a compact format and offers a 20+1 capacity. The textured polymer grip module carries the AF hex logo and a removable flared magwell funnel to aid reloads. The frame and receiver are SUS416 stainless steel finished in DLC black for durability and a uniform appearance.
The 3.5 inch bull barrel is bushing-less and ported, paired with a slide that features a port window plus front, rear, and top anti-glare serrations. The slide is marked "ROMULUS" and "AF1911 ROMULUS," while the frame is marked Alpha Foxtrot, Duluth, GA.
A factory MOS-adapter system with an optic cut supports RMSc and RMR footprints. Sighting consists of a fixed front blade with a high-visibility green dot. Rear sight configuration depends on the optic plate or optic installed.
Controls include an ambidextrous thumb safety and a beavertail grip safety with a memory bump. A lightened trigger shoe and skeletonized hammer complete the single-action, hammer-fired setup. An integral 1913 Picatinny accessory rail is machined into the dust cover. Two stainless-steel double-stack magazines (20-round and 19-round) are included.
