The Generation II Predator configuration centers on a 22-inch alloy-steel barrel with a heavy/medium contour, spiral flutes, and a free-floated layout. It is cold-hammer-forged for consistency and threaded 5/8x24 to accept compatible muzzle devices. A radial-port muzzle brake is installed.
The action uses a 3-lug bolt with a 70-degree lift and a large round bolt knob for smooth cycling. Controls include a 3-position tang safety with bolt lock. The single-stage Ruger Marksman Adjustable trigger is user-adjustable.
This rifle is upgraded with a Magpul Hunter Lite Stock tailored to the Ruger American Short Action. The stock features an aluminum V-block with steel pillars, an AICS-pattern magazine well, M-LOK slots, and sling swivel studs. Length of pull is adjustable from 13 to 15 inches; it is currently set to 14 inches.
The receiver carries a Burnt Bronze Cerakote finish and is marked "RUGER AMERICAN • MAYODAN, NC USA." A scope mount is installed, and the platform feeds from AICS-pattern magazines. Capacity is 10+1 with the included 10-round magazine.
