The R-108 submodel is identified by the roll-stamped model code on the right side of the frame. This example retains the factory nickel finish specified for this variant, paired with an aluminum alloy frame and steel barrel and cylinder for a light, durable snub configuration.
The 2 3/8 inch barrel keeps the profile compact while maintaining a full-length ejector stroke. It uses a ramped front sight and a square-notch rear set into the topstrap.
The 9-shot fluted cylinder swings out for loading and extraction, and the knurled ejector-rod head provides positive control. The action is double-action/single-action with a smooth-faced trigger and an exposed, checkered hammer spur.
Two-piece off-white checkered plastic grips with HS medallions complete the classic Sentinel profile. Barrel marking includes the Hamden, Conn. U.S.A. address, consistent with High Standard production of this series.
