The BFR long-cylinder design accommodates .45-70 Government cartridges, pairing a robust large-frame construction and wide topstrap with an unfluted 5-shot cylinder for added strength. The under-barrel ejector rod housing with a knurled ejector head supports positive case extraction.
Construction is all stainless steel with a brushed finish on the frame, cylinder, and heavy-profile 10" barrel. Black textured rubber one-piece grips provide a secure hold. A transfer-bar safety allows safe carry with all chambers loaded.
This revolver is set up for scoped shooting. A Weaver/Picatinny-style base and rings are installed with a Leupold FX-II 4x28 handgun scope. The front sight is a black ramped blade, and there is no rear sight with the scope base installed, giving a clean, dedicated scope configuration.
Manufactured in Pillager, Minnesota, the BFR line is known for its chamberings in powerful cartridges. Within the series, JT-prefix BFRs support an optional factory-fitted cylinder interchange between .45-70 and .450 Marlin.
