The RAS47 is a U.S.-built AKM-pattern rifle chambered in 7.62x39, using a stamped steel receiver and a long-stroke gas piston system. The receiver is finished in black nitride and marked Georgia, Vermont, reflecting Century’s domestic production and markings.
Its 16.5 in nitrided steel barrel features a 1:10 twist and 14x1 mm LH threads, with an AKM-pattern slant brake installed. The threaded muzzle and nitride treatment provide a durable, easy-to-maintain barrel surface with standard AK-thread compatibility.
The rifle is outfitted with Magpul furniture, including the MOE AK polymer lower handguard with heat shield and matching MOE AK polymer upper handguard/gas-tube cover, a Magpul polymer stock with a skeletonized strut, and a Magpul MOE AK pistol grip. The length of pull is set at 12.5 in for a compact, controllable shoulder fit.
Sighting equipment is classic AKM: an adjustable front post and a tangent leaf rear sight. A left-side receiver optics/accessory rail is installed for users who choose to mount compatible side-rail optics or accessories.
Additional build details include a bright, in-the-white bolt carrier and a manual safety selector. Capacity is 30+1, and this example includes six 30-round magazines, providing a ready-to-use setup with steel magazines, two Magpul PMAG polymer magazines, and one additional non-Magpul polymer magazine.
