The rifle uses a 16 inch Daniel Defense cold hammer forged, chrome-lined 4150 CMV barrel with a 1:7 RH twist, designed for durability and reliable performance with 5.56 NATO. A mid-length gas system balances impulse and timing, and the barrel is threaded with an aftermarket multi-port muzzle brake installed.
The free-float Daniel Defense MFR 15.0 M-LOK handguard provides M-LOK flats for accessory mounting and a continuous T-marked Picatinny rail along the top. The handguard is marked MFR 15.0 M with U.S. Patent No. 7,716,865, and the upper receiver is marked DDM4V7.
Receivers are forged 7075-T6 aluminum with a Type III hard-coat anodized base, complemented by the custom multi-tone camo finish. The upper includes a forward assist and a standard ejection port cover, and the platform operates via direct impingement in semi-automatic.
Daniel Defense furniture includes a collapsible, adjustable stock with QD sling sockets and an overmolded pistol grip, both finished in standard black polymer. An ambidextrous charging handle is installed, and no iron sights or optics are included.
