What's Included
- Weatherby Mark V .270 Win bolt-action rifle
- Installed one-piece PEAK 44 Picatinny rail
Built during the early 1990s in Japan by Howa, this Mark V aligns with H-prefix serial production and carries the period-correct features collectors and shooters look for. The receiver is drilled and tapped and currently fitted with a one-piece PEAK 44 Picatinny rail.
The Mark V action uses a multi-lug bolt design with an efficient ~54-degree lift for fast cycling. The bolt body is fluted and uses a plunger ejector with a small claw extractor. A two-position safety and an internal top-loading 4-round box magazine round out the action and control set.
The 22.5-inch sporter-contour barrel is capped with a recessed crown and carries no iron sights, favoring a clean sighting plane. The bore condition and rifling are excellent, matching the rifle’s overall presentation.
The stock is classic Weatherby: a high-gloss walnut Monte Carlo profile with crisp checkering, sling swivel studs, and a ventilated Weatherby-branded recoil pad with a thin black spacer at the butt. Length of pull measures 13.5 inches, offering a comfortable fit for many shooters.
