The 702 Plinkster uses a semi-automatic action with a right-side charging handle and a right-side ejection port. A cross-bolt safety is positioned at the front of the trigger guard for straightforward operation. Two action screws simplify takedown for maintenance.
The rifle is built around an 18 in steel barrel with a 1:16 twist for standard .22 LR loads. The bore condition is excellent, and the rifling shows sharp lands and grooves.
Sighting is handled by fiber-optic iron sights: a hooded red front blade and an adjustable green rear sight. These provide a bright, easy-to-acquire sight picture in varied lighting.
The black synthetic stock has a Monte Carlo profile with molded texturing on the grip and fore-end for control. It includes a vented rubber recoil pad, sling studs, and a length of pull of 14.25.
