A Modified choke is installed, and a Full choke tube is provided, making it ready for versatile field use.

The 28-inch Light Contour vent-rib barrel keeps the front end lively while maintaining smooth swing. It is chambered for 2 3/4 and 3-inch shells and uses the RemChoke system for easy choke changes. A Modified choke is installed, and a Full choke tube is provided, giving immediate flexibility for different loads and ranges.
The receiver is steel with a gloss blued finish and factory decorative scroll engraving. It is marked Remington 870 Wingmaster. The barrel carries the Remington oval REP proof mark near the chamber. Ejection is to the right, and operation is via twin action bars for smooth cycling.
Sighting is straightforward with bead-style sighting on the vent rib. Capacity is 4 rounds in the standard-length magazine tube with a knurled cap. A cross-bolt safety provides simple, familiar control.
The stock set is gloss-finished walnut with cut checkering, a pistol-grip profile, and matching walnut fore-end. Length of pull is 14.0 inches, and the butt is capped with the factory Remington hard buttplate and black spacer. Sling-swivel studs are fitted.
