This is a Walther PPK/S-1, not a Smith & Wesson-branded pistol. The frame is marked "PPK/S-1," and the slide carries "SMITH & WESSON HOULTON, ME USA" and "UNDER LICENSE OF Carl Walther Waffenfabrik Ulm/Do.," identifying U.S. manufacture under Walther license. The ejection port is additionally marked ".380ACP."
Built with a stainless steel frame and stainless slide, this compact .380 ACP uses a straight blowback action and a DA/SA trigger system. Controls include a left-side push-button magazine release and a slide-mounted safety/decocker with a red fire dot indicator.
Slide features include an internal extractor, serrated top rib, and slide serrations. The pistol is equipped with fixed sights (front blade and rear notch) and a ring/rowel hammer. The S&W-era extended beavertail/tang is present.
Capacity is 7+1 with the included single-stack steel magazines. One magazine has a finger-rest baseplate. The pistol wears black checkered synthetic grip panels with Walther banners and has a stainless finish throughout.
