The KDS9c is a single-action, 1911-platform compact designed around double-stack 9mm magazines, delivering a 15+1 capacity in a 25.3 oz package. Overall length is 7.8 in with a 5.3 in height, balancing carry-friendly dimensions with full-hand control.
Its 4 in stainless-steel bull barrel is ramped and fluted, supporting reliable feeding with added barrel mass for stability. The slide is stainless steel finished in KimPro Black and features a flat top with longitudinal serrations plus front and rear cocking serrations.
The 7075 aluminum alloy frame is finished in KimPro Black and includes a beveled magazine well for smooth reloads and an unrailed dust cover for a streamlined profile. Red/black textured G10 grip panels with a cross-hatch pattern provide a secure hold.
Target-focused sights include a green fiber-optic front that is dovetailed and a black serrated rear that is elevation-adjustable and dovetailed. Controls and fire-control parts are purpose-built, with a skeletonized hammer, a skeletonized three-hole trigger, and safety features that include a manual thumb safety, sear disconnect, and a hammer safety notch.
