- Three 10-round steel AK-pattern detachable box magazines
- Cleaning rod (installed under barrel)

Built on a stamped, slab-sided sheet-steel receiver (no magazine-well dimples) with a smooth top cover, this MAK-90 Sporter follows the classic AKM pattern while adhering to the early-1990s import configuration. Its long-stroke gas system uses a ventilated gas tube and a 45-degree gas block, with a rotating bolt for proven operation.
The rifle retains its wood furniture, including a thumbhole stock with sling attachment and a wood lower handguard; the upper handguard/gas tube cover is a ventilated metal unit. A rubber recoil pad and a rubber grip sleeve are fitted to the stock assembly.
Sighting equipment is standard AKM: a protected front post and an elevation-adjustable AK tangent rear sight. The muzzle is unthreaded with a plain cap, and the bayonet lug was deleted as part of the sporter setup. A cleaning rod is retained under the barrel.
Markings include the "MAK90 SPORTER 7.62X39 MM • MADE BY NORINCO CHINA" roll mark, the COMPASSCO, BARDSTOWN KY import mark, and a triangle arsenal symbol. The serial prefix "94" corresponds to the 1994 import era.
User controls are traditional AKM pattern, with a paddle-style magazine release and right-side safety/selector. Capacity is 10+1 with the included magazines, and the barrel length is 16.3 inches with an approximate 14.0-inch length of pull.
