This 2.5 inch, fixed-sight, blued steel revolver features the distinctive rear 'pork-chop' barrel shroud, a forward push-type cylinder release, and Hamden, Conn. U.S.A. marking. It falls within the H-prefix serial range and is outfitted with checkered wood grips bearing High Standard medallions.

Contract-produced by Dan Wesson for High Standard, this Sentinel MK II represents a short production run from roughly 1974–1975. It is marked Hamden, Conn. U.S.A., aligns with the H-prefix serial range, and is the fixed-sight Mark II variant distinct from the adjustable-sight Mark III.
The revolver is configured with a 2.5 inch barrel and the model’s characteristic rear 'pork-chop' shroud extension. It uses a forward push-type cylinder release and a six-shot cylinder, with a double-action/single-action operating system for versatile use.
Construction is all steel with a blued finish across the frame, cylinder, and receiver. The round-butt grip frame wears checkered wood stocks with High Standard medallions. A wide, checkered hammer spur and a smooth-face trigger complete the control set.
Sighting is fixed, pairing a serrated ramped front with a topstrap notch rear. Within the Sentinel Mark II lineup, barrels were offered in 2.5, 4, and 6 inches; this example is the compact 2.5 inch version from the 1970s era.
