Built on a Type III receiver, this FAL is the later slab-sided pattern without lightening cuts, noted for its distinct profile. The receiver is clearly marked ".308 MATCH," and the rifle bears "MADE IN BELGIUM" and "STEYR SECAUCUS, N.J." import markings, confirming its Belgian manufacture and Steyr import lineage.
The rifle features the standard 21-inch steel barrel with a threaded muzzle and a long tubular slotted flash suppressor. Its short-stroke gas piston system includes an adjustable, knurled gas regulator, allowing precise tuning to ammunition and operating conditions.
Controls and handling are true to the metric-pattern FAL: a non-reciprocating charging handle on the left side and a manual safety selector. It feeds from metric-pattern detachable magazines, and this example includes one 20-round steel magazine. Capacity is 20+1.
Furniture is the classic fixed "humpback" black polymer stock with rear sling swivel and ribbed rubber buttplate, paired with a black synthetic pistol grip. The handguards are two-piece steel in the Austrian StG-58 style, parkerized gray, bipod-cut and vented with three elongated slots per side. A carry handle is present.
