Built on the proven 1911 platform, the Pro Series Sub-Compact is chambered in .45 ACP and features a 3-inch stainless steel barrel for a compact profile. The scandium alloy frame keeps weight to about 26–26.5 oz while maintaining strength, and the slide wears a matte black Melonite finish for durability.
Factory slide work includes rear vertical cocking serrations, a lowered and flared ejection port, and an oversized external extractor. A full-length guide rod supports consistent cycling. Factory markings include Pro Series on the slide, SW1911 on the frame, and .45 AUTO on the barrel hood.
The single-action-only system is enhanced with a 3-hole lightened trigger featuring an overtravel stop, paired with a skeletonized commander-style hammer. Safety features include a manual thumb safety and a grip safety.
Sights are fixed 3-dot, with a dovetailed white-dot front blade and a low-profile two-dot rear. Capacity is 7+1, and overall length is 6.9 inches. The black textured synthetic grip panels provide secure purchase.
