The 3.32 in cold-hammer-forged barrel uses polygonal rifling and is +P rated, with a right-hand 1:9.8 in twist. This barrel design, paired with the striker-fired system and a flat-faced trigger with an integral safety blade, provides a modern, duty-proven feature set in a compact package.
A polymer frame with an integral three-slot Picatinny-style rail supports compact lights or accessories. The slide includes front and rear serrations and a removable top cover plate with the HK logo. Low-profile, dovetail-mounted iron sights use a post front and notch rear.
Controls are straightforward and familiar: a left-side slide stop and a left-side push-button magazine release. Safety features include a trigger safety, firing pin safety, drop safety, out-of-battery safety, and a safe takedown procedure that does not require pulling the trigger.
