Springfield Armory M1 Garand CMP Special Grade .30-06, 24 Inch Barrel, Walnut Stock, Parkerized Finish (RM1SPECIAL)
This CMP Special Grade M1 Garand pairs a late-WWII Springfield Armory receiver with a new production barrel and new walnut furniture. It features refinished USGI components in a uniform parkerized gray/green finish and retains the classic M1 sighting system. Provenance includes a CMP Certificate of Authenticity dated Jun 02, 2016, and the bore condition is excellent.
The receiver falls in the Springfield Armory serial range for March 1945 production, adding clear historical context to the rifle’s origin. The operating rod is marked 6528287-SA Z-2, and the complete CMP refurbishment is designated under part number RM1SPECIAL.
The 24-inch barrel, aperture rear sight with windage and elevation knobs, and wing-protected front blade deliver the traditional M1 sight picture. The rifle operates via a gas-operated, semi-automatic action on the M1 platform and is chambered in .30-06.
New walnut stock and handguards present a clean, classic look with sling swivels installed. Length of pull measures 13.5 inches, and the parkerized gray/green finish is uniform throughout.
