Built in the USA as a Custom Shop offering, the Classic Carry Pro was produced in limited numbers starting around 2012 and was later discontinued. It features distinctive slide rollmarks reading "CLASSIC CARRY PRO" and "CUSTOM KIMBER SHOP," while the frame is marked "KIMBER YONKERS NY USA." The barrel hood is correctly stamped ".45 ACP."
The Turnbull-applied charcoal blue finish covers both the steel frame and slide, delivering a deep, traditional luster across the pistol. The slide is a flat-top design with longitudinal top serrations and rear-only cocking serrations. Sights are dovetailed 3-dot units, with a single-dot front and a low-profile, two-dot rear retained by a set screw.
Ergonomics are tuned for carry, with a round-heel grip frame, 24 LPI front-strap checkering, and a flat, serrated mainspring housing. The pistol wears smooth ivory-tone grip panels that appear to be bone/ivory, complementing the charcoal blue finish. Factory-listed weight is 35 oz.
At its core, this is a compact 1911 in .45 ACP with a 4-inch, match-grade, bushingless bull barrel. It runs a single-action system with both a thumb safety and grip safety. Controls include a skeletonized hammer and an aluminum trigger. Capacity is 7+1, and it comes with one KimPro Tac-Mag marked for .45 ACP.
