The 14.5 inch barrel achieves a legal 16.5 inch overall barrel length, and the 1:7 twist supports a broad range of 5.56mm NATO projectiles.
The rifle uses a mid-length gas system with direct impingement operation. Controls include a manual safety selector marked SAFE and SEMI, a charging handle, and a forward assist. The dust cover is BCM-marked, adding to the factory-correct details.
A LaRue Tactical 9.0 free-float aluminum quad rail provides solid accessory mounting with a numbered top rail and patent marking, while the fixed A2 front sight base is taper-pinned for durability. A BCM flip-up aperture rear sight completes the iron sight setup.
The receivers are 7075-T6 aluminum with a hard-coat anodized finish. Furniture includes an adjustable, telescoping carbine stock with a stated 10.5–13.5 inch length of pull and a textured polymer pistol grip with a beavertail backstrap.
