The Hellion employs a semi-automatic, short-stroke gas piston system with a two-position adjustable regulator marked N (normal) and S (suppressed). The user-configurable, reversible ejection adds flexibility for left- or right-shouldered use.
Its 16 inch cold-hammer-forged barrel is threaded 1/2x28 and paired with a 1:7 twist to complement a wide range of 5.56 NATO loads. The bullpup configuration keeps the barrel length while concentrating the weight toward the shoulder.
Controls and handling are designed for true ambidexterity: an ambidextrous safety/selector, a centerline non-reciprocating folding charging handle, and an adjustable 5-position stock with cheekpiece. Length of pull is adjustable to approximately 16–18 inches across five positions.
The polymer receiver and M-LOK polymer handguard provide durable, lightweight construction. Integrated flip-up sights include an elevation-adjustable front post and a rear drum with five apertures graduated 100–500 m.
