The M2.0 frame uses a high-strength polymer with the M2.0 aggressive texture and a removable palm-swell backstrap for hand fit. Controls include ambidextrous slide stop levers. This pistol is equipped with an aftermarket flat-faced trigger featuring a central blade safety and a tactile reset. This configuration has no external manual thumb safety and uses a trigger safety.
The Armornite-finished slide is optics-cut and features front and rear serrations with the M2.0 fish-scale pattern for confident manipulation. An accessory rail on the dust cover supports weapon-mounted lights or other rail-mounted accessories as desired.
The 4.25 in stainless steel barrel is chambered in 9mm Luger. Factory markings include the slide legends M&P 9 and M2.0, and the chamber hood marked 9MM.
Steel iron sights are installed, with a steel blade front sight marked '18 H3' and a drift-adjustable steel notch rear sight. This setup provides a durable, all-steel sighting system out of the box.
