Built in the United States and marked "FN COLUMBIA, SC USA" with "9x19" on the slide, this FN 509 MRD brings duty-grade features in a full-size format. The polymer frame hosts ambidextrous slide-stop levers and a MIL-STD-1913 (Picatinny) accessory rail with multiple cross-slots on the dust cover.
The 4-inch barrel is cold hammer-forged with an FNC finish and is non-threaded. The striker-fired action pairs with an articulated trigger and a trigger safety for a consistent, familiar interface.
FN's Low-Profile Optics-Mounting System includes an optics cut with the factory cover plate installed. Raised iron sights—front post and rear notch—are intended to co-witness with a mounted MRD, offering immediate alignment through the window once an optic is installed.
Capacity is 24+1 with the included extended magazine, and two 17-round steel magazines are also included. The slide features front and rear cocking serrations for positive manipulation. An Olight PL-Mini 2 Valkyrie weapon light is mounted and included, adding ready-to-use illumination on the accessory rail.
