What’s Included
- J. Goehler 16 Gauge side-by-side shotgun
Built in Berlin, this hammerless underlever (Jones patent screw-grip) design integrates the opening lever into the trigger guard and uses twin, top-mounted breech indicators. The lever rotates to unlock, consistent with the Jones system. It is configured with double triggers and a 2-round capacity, aligning with classic continental sporting practice of its era.
The 31-inch side-by-side Damascus steel barrels display a traditional Damascus pattern finish and are topped by a front bead. The rib carries a gold-inlaid maker’s legend, "J. Goehler in Berlin," emphasizing both origin and quality.
Factory engraving covers the metalwork with full-coverage scroll and a prominent dragon game-scene panel, specifically noted as Drachenmotive engraving. The gold-inlaid rib inscription complements the engraving suite and adds visual contrast to the Damascus pattern.
Stock furniture includes a walnut stock with a checkered wrist and a round inlaid wrist medallion; the monogram is on the underlever/trigger guard strap. A splinter forend with hand checkering, steel buttplate with full checkering, and a forward sling eye (rear stock swivel missing) complete the configuration. Length of pull measures 13.5 inches.
