This James River Armory JRM-15 is a compact 9mm AR-pattern pistol built on an aluminum receiver set with a straight-blowback system. It features an approximately 8-inch threaded barrel with a closed-front, slotted birdcage-style flash hider with three longitudinal slots, a free-float aluminum handguard with a full-length 12 o'clock Picatinny rail, and an upper equipped with a forward assist, dust cover, and brass deflector. It comes with two 33-round magazines: one steel SMG-pattern stick magazine and one Glock OEM polymer extended magazine. Note: As configured with a Colt/SMG-pattern magwell adapter, this pistol accepts Colt/SMG-pattern magazines and does not accept Glock magazines without a Glock-mag adapter or a dedicated Glock-pattern lower.

The JRM-15 uses a straight-blowback 9mm bolt with no gas system, pairing 9mm Luger efficiency with AR-15 familiarity. The upper receiver includes a forward assist, dust cover, and brass deflector, and the lower is marked Cal. MULTI with a Colt/SMG-pattern 9mm magwell adapter installed.
The approximately 8-inch barrel is threaded and fitted with a closed-front, slotted birdcage-style flash hider with three longitudinal slots. A free-float aluminum handguard surrounds the barrel and provides a full-length 12 o'clock Picatinny rail, elongated lightening windows, and a sturdy two-screw clamp interface.
The receiver set is aluminum with a matte black anodized finish for a clean, uniform look. Controls include a standard magazine release and a manual safety selector, with an A2-style polymer pistol grip.
A polymer blade-style stabilizing brace, marked "PATENT PENDING," complements the micro footprint. Capacity is 33+1, and the pistol ships with two 33-round magazines: one steel SMG-pattern stick magazine and one Glock OEM polymer extended magazine (the included Glock magazine will not lock in or function in this configuration without a Glock-mag adapter or a dedicated Glock-pattern lower).
