The Staccato (STI) P4.5 HD is a full-size 2011 in 9mm Luger with a steel slide and frame mated to a polymer grip module, built around a 4.5 inch bushingless bull barrel with an integral island sight block. It features the HD HOST direct-mount optics interface with the rear sight positioned ahead of the optic cut, a DLC finish on both slide and frame, and it ships with three 18-round Staccato 2011-pattern double-stack steel magazines. Designed and made in the USA, this recent HD-series release brings competition-focused features to a durable, duty-ready package.

The P4.5 HD uses a bushingless, bull barrel with an integral island sight block that carries a luminous dot front sight. A plain black rear notch is pinned forward of the optic cut, keeping the sight picture stable whether or not an optic is installed. Both slide and frame wear a DLC finish.
The slide includes front, rear, and top serrations for confident manipulation and uses an external extractor. Controls are ambidextrous, with a thumb safety on both sides, a Series 80–style firing pin block, and a skeletonized curved trigger. This HD configuration omits a functional grip safety by design.
Staccato’s HD HOST direct-mount optics interface is machined into the slide and comes with a cover plate. The included Dawson Precision plate supports Trijicon RMR/SRO pattern footprints, aligning with the rear sight that is purposely located ahead of the optic position.
Feeding is designed around Staccato 2011 double-stack 9mm magazines, and this pistol ships with three factory HD Mec-Gar steel magazines. The full-length dustcover with 1913/Picatinny rail, flared magazine well, and the combination of a steel slide and frame with a polymer grip module support fast handling and durability suited to two- and three-gun competition or everyday carry.
