Product Description

    Ruger Vaquero .357 Magnum, 4.62 in Blued, Large-Frame BNV-34, 6-Shot Single-Action (1999)

This original large-frame Ruger Vaquero, catalog reference BNV-34, is a 1999 .357 Magnum with a 4.62 in barrel and classic six-shot fluted cylinder. It pairs a blued barrel and cylinder with a contrasting silver-toned grip frame and ejector-rod housing for a distinctive two-tone look. The revolver has been refurbished with select non-original parts, while retaining a smooth action and crisp trigger pull. It comes with a Ruger factory case bearing a matching serial-number label, a Ruger cable lock, and the instruction manual.

    Condition

Overall Condition: Very good condition, showing only light, superficial signs of prior handling or use.

Bore Overall Condition: Excellent - Clean, mirror finish, no signs of wear.

Bore Rifling: Excellent Rifling - Sharp lands and grooves.

Specific Condition Notes: Scratches and blemishes are present on the finish, with isolated areas of light patina and small deposits of pitting. The revolver has been refurbished and not all parts are original; the ejector is a notable replacement. It appears to have been rebuilt, with a non-original front sight that shows solder markings and mismatched finishes. The barrel has no markings. The action is smooth with a crisp trigger pull.

    What’s Included
    • Case: Ruger factory hard plastic case (gray) with matching serial-number label
    • Cable Lock: Ruger cable lock (red) in factory bag
    • Manual: Ruger instruction manual

Built on the original 1993–2005 large-frame Vaquero platform, this single-action-only revolver is chambered in .357 Magnum with a six-shot fluted cylinder and a 4.62 in barrel. The configuration aligns with catalog reference BNV-34 and manufacturer part number 0576, and it was made in the United States in 1999.

The finish presents a classic contrast: blued steel barrel and cylinder paired with a silver-toned grip frame and ejector-rod housing. It wears smooth hardwood grips with Ruger silver-eagle medallions and features a crescent-style hammer spur with serrations and a knurled base-pin head for confident handling.

Sighting is straightforward and period-correct, with a fixed blade front and a fixed rear groove integral to the topstrap. A transfer bar safety is incorporated, consistent with Ruger’s robust single-action design.

This example has been refurbished. Not all parts are original, most notably the ejector; the front sight is also non-original and shows solder markings. The finishes are mismatched, and the barrel lacks markings. An assembly stamp is present near the loading gate.

Functionally, the action cycles smoothly with a crisp trigger pull, complementing the revolver’s traditional single-action character.
