This Tanker configuration pairs a Commander-length 4.25-inch barrel and slide with a full-size Government frame, delivering the classic handling of a shortened top end on a standard grip and mainspring housing. It uses a traditional GI recoil system with plug and barrel bushing.
Construction is robust, with a forged steel slide and forged steel frame finished in a matte dark gray/black. The hammer-forged barrel is matched to a slide featuring rear vertical serrations, no front serrations, and a lowered, rear-flared ejection port.
Controls and ergonomics follow the GI/A1 pattern: arched mainspring housing, short solid GI-style trigger, short spur hammer, checkered magazine release, and both a manual thumb safety and grip safety. Black checkered synthetic grip panels with slotted screws provide a secure hold.
Sighting is classic GI-style with a narrow front blade and a small rear notch. The pistol uses standard single-stack 1911 magazines and includes two 8-round magazines for an 8+1 capacity. Country of origin is Turkey, with import markings "TISAS KNOXVILLE, TN" and "ZIG M45 TURKIYE."
