This 1972 Marlin Model 336 in .30-30 pairs the desirable pre–cross-bolt safety configuration with a 20-inch round barrel and micro-groove rifling. It comes fitted with a Simmons 3-9x scope on two-piece bases and rings, and features classic walnut furniture with a Monte Carlo comb. The solid, flat-topped receiver is drilled and tapped, and the tang shows the "72" serial prefix that denotes 1972 production.
Built in the United States during the 1970s, this lever-action uses a right-side loading gate with side ejection and a round bolt visible through the ejection port. The full-length tubular magazine provides a 6+1 capacity, and the 13.5-inch length of pull offers a traditional fit on the walnut stock.
The barrel uses Marlin’s micro-groove rifling, paired with iron sights: a ramp-mounted front sight and an elevator-adjustable semi-buckhorn rear. The front sight hood is not present. The receiver’s drilled-and-tapped design supports the installed two-piece bases and rings that hold the Simmons scope with a standard reticle.
