The barrel is a 14.5 in Daniel Defense cold hammer forged, chrome-lined M4-profile unit with a pinned and welded flash hider, yielding a legal overall barrel length of about 16.5 in. It uses a carbine-length gas system and direct impingement action, delivering the configuration associated with the M4A1 pattern.
The handguard is the Daniel Defense M4A1 RIS II free-float quad rail in FDE, 12.25 in long and machined from 6061-T6 aluminum. It is marked with P/N 01-004-08001 and NSN 1005-01-547-2624 and features T-marked rail sections. The upper receiver is marked "M4A1" with the caliber oval "5.56" and carries the "A" forging mark, while the bolt is stamped with the Daniel Defense "DD" monogram.
Controls and furniture include the Daniel Defense GRIP-N-RIP ambidextrous charging handle, a Daniel Defense collapsible buttstock with rubberized panels and a molded buttpad, and a Daniel Defense rubber-overmolded pistol grip.
