The KSG is a bullpup pump-action 12-gauge with an 18.5 in barrel and an overall length of 26.1 in, delivering a compact profile without sacrificing barrel length. It is chambered for 3 in shells and built around a steel barrel with a durable polymer stock and forend. The shotgun is manufactured in the USA by Kel-Tec CNC Industries Inc., Cocoa, Florida.
Its dual magazine tubes with select-feed let the user toggle between tubes, accommodating up to 6+6+1 with 3 in shells or 7+7+1 with 2 3/4 in shells. A single bottom loading/ejection port supports ambidextrous operation.
Controls and ergonomics include a cross-bolt safety and an action bar lock. The 13.0 in length of pull, textured polymer pistol grip, and textured recoil pad contribute to a stable shoulder mount. The polymer forend carries a short Picatinny rail for accessories.
A full-length, T-marked top Picatinny rail provides mounting space, and this example is equipped with an aftermarket SIG Sauer ROMEO5 red-dot sight with a red reticle mounted on the top rail. The two-tone black/gray finish includes a lighter gray receiver shroud for a distinctive appearance.
