The A-500G uses a self-regulating gas system paired with a four-lug rotary bolt, designed to run 2.75 inch and 3 inch shells interchangeably without user adjustment. Gas-system components are stainless, and the magazine tube is chrome-plated.
The shotgun is built around a 28 inch Special Steel barrel with a ventilated rib and a single brass bead front sight. It is marked "Patents Pending" and "Special Steel," consistent with the model’s 1990–1993 production run.
This example uses the standard Browning Invector choke system (not Invector-Plus compatible). An IC choke is installed, offering a versatile setup for a wide range of 12-gauge loads.
