The AM-15 is built on the AR-15 platform with 7075-T6 aluminum receivers finished in Type III hard-coat anodizing. The flat-top A3 upper includes a forward assist and ejection-port cover. The lower receiver is marked "AM-15 MULTI CAL" and uses right-side selector pictogram markings. Made in the United States.
Its 16-inch barrel is threaded and fitted with a multi-port flash hider. The rifle uses an AR-15 direct-impingement gas system. An extended free-float aluminum M-LOK handguard provides accessory mounting, and additional Picatinny rail sections are already installed.
Furniture includes an M4-style 6-position collapsible polymer stock with approximately 11–14 in length of pull and a Magpul pistol grip. A folding vertical foregrip that converts to a bipod is installed for added support when needed.
Targeting is supported by a tube-style red/green dot optic on a riser mount with flip-up lens caps, plus flip-up front and rear backup iron sights. The optic offers a dot reticle with selectable red or green illumination.
