Built by FN in Belgium, this Auto-5 is a 1955 Standard Weight 12 gauge identified by its H-prefix serial range. The receiver carries the Browning script and factory-applied post-war scroll engraving with a zig-zag border motif, adding period appeal and correct presentation.
The 28-inch Special Steel field barrel features a ventilated rib and a single front bead. It is chambered for 2 3/4-inch shells and bears the Belgian star code ** indicating a Modified fixed choke. Barrel markings include Browning Arms Co. St. Louis Mo.

Operating on Browning’s long-recoil system, this shotgun uses friction-ring tuning to accommodate load variations. A magazine cut-off lever on the left side of the receiver provides quick control over feeding. Capacity is 4+1, and barrels of the same gauge/model are factory-interchangeable.
