Model 05118 (catalog NVB-44-I) pairs the New Vaquero mid-frame with a 4.62 in barrel and a fluted six-chamber cylinder. It uses a full-length blued ejector housing capped by a crescent-profile ejector rod button for positive case extraction. The hammer and trigger are left in-the-white for a classic look against the blued steel.
The frame, barrel, and cylinder are carbon steel with a high-polish blued finish. Smooth ivory-colored synthetic grips with Ruger medallions complete the plow-handle profile. This configuration corresponds to the NVB-44-I factory designation.
Sighting is straightforward and durable with a fixed blade front and a fixed notch in the topstrap. The revolver is single-action only and incorporates Ruger’s transfer-bar safety along with the internal lock.
