Built in Westfield, Massachusetts, this Model 340V carries clear barrel rollmarks identifying the maker, model, and caliber, including "Proof Tested Cal. .225 Win." The receiver is a solid, non-bridged design with the serial number stamped on the left receiver ring. The bolt features a turned-down handle appropriate to the model.
The 24-inch round heavy/varmint-profile barrel is fitted with a castellated barrel nut. There are two small screw holes at the muzzle where a front sight ramp was previously installed, and no iron sights are currently fitted.
The hardwood, one-piece stock has a Monte Carlo comb with pressed checkering, a white-line spacer, and a black buttplate. Length of pull measures 13.5 inches, and the trigger guard/magazine well assembly is stamped steel.
The receiver’s left side is drilled and tapped, and a side scope-mount base is installed. The rifle uses a detachable box magazine for a 3+1 capacity and features a blued barrel and receiver with a bright (in-the-white) bolt. Country of origin is the United States.
