This Springfield Armory 1911 DS Prodigy Compact 3.5 AOS is a double-stack 9mm built around a forged carbon-steel slide, a DLC-treated match-grade stainless bull barrel, and a lightweight 7075-T6 aluminum frame with a compact polymer grip module. It uses the Agency Optic System (AOS) with an installed plate and ships with two 15-round magazines, tritium front sight, and a serrated rear sight integrated into the optic plate. The Compact 3.5 inch configuration pairs a forged carbon-steel slide in matte black Cerakote with a DLC-treated, match-grade forged stainless bull barrel. The bushingless setup and bull profile emphasize lockup consistency in a short-slide format.
The 7075-T6 aluminum frame is mated to a compact double-stack polymer grip module for a listed capacity of 15+1 rounds while keeping weight around 25.5 oz. Front and rear cocking serrations aid manipulation, and the dustcover features an integral accessory rail with two Picatinny-style cross-slots.
Springfield’s Agency Optic System (AOS) provides an optic cut with interchangeable plates; this pistol has plate A14B installed and includes plate A13B. The rear sight is plate-integrated and serrated with a black rear sight, paired with a tritium front post for a clear iron sight picture.
