The USP Compact is a DA/SA pistol with a control-lever configuration and HK's recoil-reduction system. Capacity is 13+1 in 9mm Luger. Its compact dimensions include a 3.58 in barrel, 6.81 in overall length, and an approximate weight of 1.60 lb.
The slide wears HK's HE (Hostile Environment) nitrided finish. The frame is glass-fiber-reinforced polymer with coarse texturing for a secure hold. The cold hammer forged barrel uses polygonal rifling with a 1:9.84 in twist.
Sighting components include a front post and a rear-sight dovetail-mounted plate installed in place of the rear sight. The sight radius is 5.35 in. The dust cover features the USP-pattern proprietary accessory rail.
This example is German proofed and marked with CIP N and DE, and it is imported by HK Inc., Columbus, GA. Two staggered metal 13-round magazines are included.
