The JAKL’s monolithic upper provides a single, rigid assembly with a continuous Picatinny top rail and M-LOK slots at 3, 6, and 9 o'clock on the aluminum handguard. This layout supports straightforward mounting of user-selected accessories while maintaining consistent alignment.
The 13.7 inch barrel uses a pinned and welded three-prong flash hider to reach a legal 16.5 inch length. The barrel assembly includes an adjustable gas block to fine-tune the gas system for different loads or conditions, and the muzzle device is permanently attached as specified.
A forward left-side charging handle keeps operation away from the rear of the receiver and can be reversed to suit preference. Controls include a manual safety with left-side selector, and the rifle is configured with a Magpul polymer pistol grip for a secure, familiar feel.
