The Auto-5 Light Twelve is a long-recoil operated 12-gauge with a 2 3/4-inch chamber and a five-round capacity. This example is a Type 211 Light 12, and its NR-coded serial elements indicate 1997 production. The Auto-5 line concluded in 1998 with a 1999 Final Tribute run, placing this gun near the end of factory production.
The 28-inch steel barrel wears a ventilated rib and a single front bead. It uses the Invector-Plus choke system for pattern tuning, and this listing includes multiple choke tubes to cover common field and range needs.
The receiver and barrel are finished in high-polish blued steel. The factory-engraved receiver shows scrollwork with the "BROWNING" name and a bust logo panel. A gold-tone trigger and a magazine cut-off lever on the receiver complete the classic Auto-5 control layout.
Furniture is gloss-finished walnut with a round-knob pistol grip, cut checkering, and a finger-groove forearm. A Browning-marked buttplate and a 14.5-inch length of pull provide a traditional fit and finish.
Proof and rollmarks include "BROWNING ARMS COMPANY MORGAN, UTAH & MONTREAL P.Q." and "Made in Japan," confirming Miroku manufacture for Browning. Overall, this is a late-era, factory-engraved Light Twelve presented in as-new condition with its box and choke set.
